Budget 2025 Malaysia Tax. On 18 october 2024, dato’ seri anwar bin ibrahim, prime minister cum finance minister has tabled budget 2025. The prime minister said the government will introduce a 2 per cent tax on dividends greater than rm100,000 annually for individuals, effective the 2025 assessment year.

Malaysia’s budget 2025 introduces tax reforms and investment incentives to strengthen financial health and enhance the investment climate. Dividend tax, carbon tax, an increase in the sales tax rate, expansion of scope of service tax and the introduction of new tax incentives and extensions of existing tax incentives.
